Ministry & Mission

The THOMAS Project is available to all people in our community, but our heartbeat is born out of our belief that God makes a difference and has given hope and purpose to all people. Our aim is to share this hope in practical ways, meeting both physical and spiritual needs where we can.

We offer a number of services, in house, and in partnership with local and national churches and networks.

Aldridge Prayer Walks

In June and July of 2017 our community came together in an unprecedented way, to share and discuss our concerns over the increase in crime, the perceived changes and threats to our beautiful Village, and our need for reassurance.  Myself, just like many other Christians across the community, prayed to God; asking Him what we should do and what was the most appropriate response for us to make.  We came together to pray for our Village, our community and all of the families, individuals, organisations and businesses within it.

These Aldridge Prayer Walks continue to take place on the 14th day of every month, the time of the walk will vary from month to month.  All of the Churches in Aldridge and The THOMAS Project come together to worship and pray out on the streets of our Village, you may have already noticed us out and about.

Everyone is welcome to join us. If you would like any more information about the purpose of, or the practicalities of, the Prayer Walks, just let us know. We’d be delighted to chat with you about them.

100 Days of Peace and Hope for Aldridge

On the 4th of August 1918 King George V, the Queen’s grandfather, called a National Day of Prayer. He and Queen Mary met in Westminster to pray with members of the Houses of Parliament.  One hundred days later, the war ended.

Launched on the 4th of August 2018 with 100 days of prayer for Peace and Hope for Aldridge, this joint prayer initiative of  Aldridge Methodist Church  and The THOMAS Project runs from the 4th August to the 11th November inclusive.

Would you commit to pray for peace, hope and reconciliation in Aldridge, for just two minutes, during one of these 100 days?

Let us know on which day you would like to pray, and join the Churches and the Community of Aldridge in prayer for 100 days.
